Belmont School

Project Overview: New Dining and Assembly Hall
Client: Mill Hill School Foundation
Location: London NW7
Start Date: 2005
Contract Value: £2.0m

This was a new build Assembly Hall project procured under a JCT contract with quants. The design incorporated a timber frame with feature glazing which complimented the existing buildings.  Services provided were, quantity surveyor and contract manager with responsibility for the control of costs and value engineering to bring the scheme in line with the school’s preferred budget of £2m. The project was procured on an open book sub-contract basis and costs were negotiated and agreed for all the major package elements. The hall was also used as a dining hall so there were some specialist subcontracts to procure kitchen equipment and fit out. Success – The project was delivered on time and in line with budget expectations.
