Appointed to look at a claim that had been prepared by the main contractor for works that had been incorrectly constructed and handed over by the enabling works contractor. The Korean main contractor incurred additional time and costs when instructed to complete the enabling works to the original scope required at handover. This included excavation, cutting piles and completing pile caps as well as remedial works to retaining walls. The claim was prepared and submitted to the Airport Company who after several meetings and negotiations awarded the contractor additional time and money. Following on from this the team was retained by the contractor to manage the commercial and contractual matters until the control tower was completed.
